Kevin started out fishing for largemouth bass in Florida and then soon graduated to inshore saltwater fishing for snook, redfish, flounder, and tarpon. Kevin then caught the marlin fever and moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii in 1994 and never looked back. Kevin was very fortunate to start fishing and learning from the best captains and crews in the world, many of whom he had read about before coming to Hawaii.
Soon after moving to Hawaii, Kevin had the opportunity to start traveling the world in search of giant Blue and Black marlin. His travels started off in the Azores where he battled the biggest marlin of his life. Once Kevin had experienced the amazing fishery that the Azores had to offer, he continued on with is journey to fish Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, New Zealand, Mexico, Central America, and Cape Verde. During all of Kevin’s travels, he got to soak in all the knowledge from the best captains and crews in the business. He has been at this passion for sometime now and he still feels like a kid going out on the water for his first time. This is not a job for Kevin; it’s a passion.
