About Sara
Bio
Sara is a born and raised "conch" or Florida Keys native, and currently resides in Islamorada with husband Pelagic Pro Team Member Nick Stanczyk. She grew up on the water and learned how to drive a boat before she could drive a car. She runs lobster charter tours from her 24' bay boat during the season and also works at Bud n' Mary's marina in the office booking charters and managing the apparel store. She is an artist, who enjoys preserving and drawing on the swordfish bills that Nick catches for his charter clients. She also has a passion for photography and has had photos that have been published in Marlin Magazine, Bluewater Magazine, Fishmonster Magazine, the IGFA World Record Game Fishes book, and been a finalist in National Geographic contests.
Sara enjoys fishing offshore in the blue water the most, but also enjoys bonefishing with Nick's father when she gets the chance. She has caught bonefish close to 13 pounds! Catching lobsters of course is her favorite thing to do on the water, but she also pulls stone crab traps for fun and does some spearfishing and scuba diving recreationally in her spare time. When she's not in the water or on the boat, you can find her doing her own oil changes and boat maintenance. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty...or fishy!
